Scott Cook ~
Edmonton troubadour Scott Cook is a ramblin’ soul with a heart of gold, and an melodious finger-picked acoustic sound. The words of this songsmith are heard within the heart as he explores the tensions between love and leaving, between solitude and community, and between escapism and engagement, all while adding a personal touch to all he does. When Scott Cook takes the stage, he’s singing to you, and you are just as much a part of that show as he is.
Releasing his third full length release in only four years, Moonlit Rambles is a self-produced collection of travels and tales, with contributions from many of his contemporaries and close musical friends. The album shows the prairie balladeer in fine form, and reminds us of what music can be, well away from the big lights, the celebrity gossip machine, the genre-specific cliches, and the endless pretense: a conduit for truth, change, inspiration, healing, and community. Scott’s music, tour dates, and hobo travelogue can be found on www.scottcook.net.
