**TMO were honored to be shortlisted as Top 20 in the 2012 Peak Performance Project! Unfortunately, the band is unable to participate in the competition due performance conflicts, but they would have loved to very much. Chalk it up to being popular!

The Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra have been busy in the best of ways so far in 2012, relocating to Toronto this past March to lay down the tracks for their long anticipated full length recording; signature TMO sounds and new experiments in gypsy-roots-grass brought together by award winning producer David Travers-Smith. The release is due out in October, with a NEW SINGLE due July 1st, in time for festival season! In the meantime TMO are pleased to share with you, The Nashville EP, recorded last summer in it’s namesake city, and a summer’s worth of festivals and shows across North America! That’s not all, the band have some unique shows and collaborations in store. The Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra love to play shows of course, but they also contribute to society through their music, and collaborate with other artistic forms to enhance the experience for everyone, whenever and wherever they can.

To give a hint of what’s in store during this tour, TMO will be collaborating (and participating!) with the Bottom’s Up Barely Burlesque dancers in Quesnel, BC, heading up a few days in advance of the show to work out routines with the lovely ladies. When they head up to Yellowknife for Folk On The Rocks, TMO are excited to be included in a special collaboration of local indigenous acts and attending bands, to work out a piece for the Saturday night main event!

TMO are also proud to contribute their time to the Legacy Children’s Foundation in Calgary August 13-15, hosting and teaching a youth workshop focused on songwriting, sound engineering and percussion, with a strong nature focus.
