"Hobo Folk Noir" musician Jeff Andrew and poet shayne avec i grec are giving up the ghost, with one last tour as "Ghosts of the Highway". After 2008's coast to coast "Road Warriors Unite" Ghosts of the Highway tour, the two complimentary artists decided one more throw-down was in order before they both embark on their next plamned projects, Jeff with a new album in the works and shayne unleashing "2 Dope Boys in a Cadillac" with Vancouver slam poet Johnny McRae. The pair will be haunting dark cavernous corners of various venues from Victoria to Brandon this July, topping it all off with their favorite western music festival, ArtsWells, over the August long weekend. Jeff Andrew is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and fiddler-for-hire living in Vancouver, BC. A ferocious performer with a pawnshop's worth of instruments and a chameleon-like range of styles, he frequently works straight from the floor, stomping his boots and belting like a born-again carnival barker. Jeff honed his craft during years spent hitchhiking, tree planting and busking all over Canada and the United States. In 2009 he released his debut solo album Vagabonds and Wastrels (Shade Tree Records) to radio support and critical acclaim across Canada and western Europe. He has performed numerous times at the ArtsWells festival, the Robson Valley Music Festival and the Brandon Folk Music & Arts festival. He has shared stages with great artists like Geoff Berner, Carolyn Mark, CR Avery, and Rae Spoon. Andrew also plays fiddle with Vancouver's notorious country-punk outfit the Joey Only Outlaw Band.

Taking the term rambler to heart, shayne avec i grec is often seen travelling between highways and truck stops while rambling his way thru a myriad of stories. He is prone to outbursts of glee and his poems range from visionary tales to hyperkinetic bursts of abstract wordplay, mixing politics, metaphysics and love, delivered energetically with his booming voice. Whether speaking softly over the strains of mellow musical accompaniment or bellowing off-mic from the edge of the stage, shayne's voice holds a commanding presence that draws any within earshot into the worlds of his words. Since 2005 shayne has toured western Canada numerous times, and graced stages at North Country Fair, Brandon Folk Music & Art Festival, ArtsWells Festival of All Things Art and the epic Victoria to St. John's 'Road Warriors Unite' tour with Jeff Andrew, playing bars, back alleys, bookstores, coffee shops, kitchens and carports along the way. With eyes forward after 'Giving Up The Ghost', shayne is preparing to unleash 2 Dope Boys in a Cadillac; a new collaborative project with Vancouver slam poet Johnny MacRae, in November 2010.
