Boho chic soul folk carried by dangerous lyrics, hypnotic grooves and a seductive voice...
Singer-songwriter Sandy Powlik has been turning heads for years. From fronting a 17-piece big band to co-founding folk rock group, Sonnenblume as the sole lyricist/vocalist, to over a decade of running all aspects of alter-performance-ego Lola Parks, she continually progresses and evolves as a songwriter and performer.
A multi-award winner, including "Female Songwriter of the Year," "Most Outstanding Musician - Vocal Jazz" and "Band of the Year" (with Sonnenblume), her 2011 release, Here, garnered three Vancouver Island Music Awards nominations and continues to attract international attention.
