A sturdy, heartfelt songwriter and a traveler, Sarah MacDougall is a true professional. Her music has been heard on several continents, and even at 40,000 FT on Lufthansa Airlines Playlist on multiple occasions. She bares her soul in song, telling of love, loss, friendship, and universal themes, drawing in the listener with her sweet, smoky resonating voice and acoustic guitar. Not one to stay put for long, Sarah is a road warrior, touring most of the year from the smallest town theatres to music festivals, everywhere from Canada to the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden.
PHYSICAL EVIDENCE:
Sarah released The Greatest Ones Alive earlier this year to widespread critical acclaim. It's available on her website, and is currently being heard across the country over the airwaves, charting on !earshot and getting loads of 4 and 5 star reviews. The Greatest Ones Alive was also the #1 most played album on the Galaxie Folk/Roots channel in September. In 2009 Sarah released Across The Atlantic, which she took exactly there, touring in the UK and through Europe as well as in Canada, garnering praise and new fans everywhere.

THE BACK STORY:
Sarah MacDougall started out her career in Vancouver before moving to the Yukon. She kicked it off with having her song "I Can't Breathe" featured in the Fox TV series Fifteen Love in 2006, and landed the Lufthansa Airlines playlist for the first time in 2007. She was chosen as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition in 2007, and got her first showcase in 2008 at North by Northwest. From there Sarah went on to tour throughout Canada, with such highlights as the Vancouver Island Music Festival (2009) and Under the Volcano Festival (2008), and the UK, playing the Isle of Wight Festival (2008). She's currently featured again on the Lufthansa playlist with The Greatest Ones Alive.
