Hot Rockabilly from a Cool Place, that's Sasquatch Prom Date. This group lives the life that fits the music; rippin' out melodies from the start of the party to the wee hours. Their tunes appeal to everyone young and old, with their old school swagger, scorching guitar riffs and groovy, drivin' beats. All are talented musicians, with Ryan McNally's authentic rockabilly holler on top. Costumed up to fit the part, you never see Sasquatch Prom Date without their snazzy suits, prom dresses, and bass player Genesee Keevil's loud pink wig. Somewhere between Elvis Presley and The Cramps, their music will heat up the coldest night, it's sweaty, dance crazed rockabilly all night long.

THE BACK STORY:
Bass player Genesee Keevil moved to the Yukon to race rescued sled dogs and work as a journalist, but after being in Whitehorse several years, she met Guitar player and vocalist Ryan McNally on the dance floor in a Whitehorse bar, as McNally had just hitchhiked up from Montreal. The two started jamming together and soon added on cartoonist and photojournalist Ian Stewart on rhythm guitar, and hot dog vendor Patrick Singh on the drum kit, officially forming Sasquatch Prom Date. They added a little spice to the mix with a signature northern rockabilly look; zoot suits, hoop skirts and prom dresses, beehives and pompadours, making them as visually identifiable as they are with their music. In 2008 they landed a gig opening for punk legends SNFU, which solidified their path and shot them into the spotlight. Recording their album with renowned Yukon producer Bob Hamilton, Sasquatch Prom Date took their sound on the road, having played shows throughout BC and the prairies, Ontario and Quebec, and into the US.
